Our mission is to educate Maui’s under-served youth in media arts, journalism, and emerging mobile technology for use in self expression, communication, and social change. Akaku’s AYME program provides Maui’s under-resourced youth with much needed access to professional development through hands on experience, education and mentoring.


Available to Maui Youth who have Certified through Akakuʻs youth media training program, YBEAM!  AYME provides teens with an opportunity to further develop career readiness and media production skills after the conclusion of the YBEAM course. All AYME projects are published online at this website and can be seen on Akaku Cable Channel 55.
